Dave's Hompage

Welcome to Dave's Pages featuring Sarah's Blog

I live with my wife Sarah in the quiet village of Ynyslas on the Welsh Coast

We both love to windsurf, which we manage to do occasionally in the Dyfi Estuary, and record our exploits on Forces-of-Nature, the place for all UK windsurfing, surfing, kiting and all other Forces-of-Nature sports enthusiasts. We use this site as we live next door to, and are good friends of the owner; Al. Al also writes a Blog about life in Ynyslas.

We are both members of the Borth Rowing Club. I am currently the Chairman and Sarah is the Secretary, and we are both ARA Qualified Rowing Coaches. We spend most of our weekends coaching and training with the rowing club, and spend a lot of other time helping to organise the club. The club is a friendly bunch of people and we always welcome new members.

I also work as a volunteer for Borth Lifeboat Station. I am currently the Lifeboat Press Officer for the Station. I maintain the local Borth Lifeboat Website and also look after the main RNLI Borth Lifeboat Website.

In my youth I played Rugby Union, as a Hooker, at St. Ambrose College in Altrincham, and went on to represent Sale Football Club, (now known as Sale Sharks), being the under 19's Captain for a season and playing 6 times for the 2nd XV. I was at Sale for seven seasons, although I let my fitness lapse and dropped down the teams. After leaving Sale I also played for London Irish for three seasons.
