Trained hard again this weekend, and we will continue to train hard this week, as well as doing boat maintenance and all the other preparation that needs to be done prior to the Challenge weekend. We Rowed on Wednesday and Friday night, three times on Saturday and twice on Sunday.
In the middle of all that we went to Dale Sailing on Friday to pick up our new Celtic Longboat. The boat number is 72 but we haven't given it a name yet. The last boat was named by the school childern at Borth Primary, and they gave it a really good name. http://www.borth-rowing-club.org.uk/our_boats.shtml
We will travel to Ireland next Thursday, so we don't have a lot of time left. Sarah is busy buying things on the internet and we will go shopping tomorrow as well.
The crew are also trying to raise a little bit of sponsorship money which we will give to the Mental Health Charity Mind. As the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, Mind has promoted mental health for over 60 years and works for a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress. See Borth Rowing Club's Page for Celtic Challenge 2010
Lot's still to do, but we are getting there. We just need a few stress free days at the end to relax and prepare for the race.
